A Coffee with friends, a wine with dinner, a beer with the boys or just a good Gin and Tonic... I love living in Melbourne, Australia and it's culture. I know I haven't been World Wide yet, but i've been around and I'm a man that wants easy access to my daily needs and on the spot decisions. I sold my car back in 2010 about half way through the year and haven't owned another since. Why? Well, for those who don't know Melbourne City is laid out in a grid pattern making it easy to travel in many forms, I really find it hard to get lost and it's also easy to discover "secret" stores, bars and cafes etc. Every main road has a sub (smaller) road to an alley way which leads to another alley way, here's a Link to a map of Melbourne's City (CBD) Alley Life. Now I can save my fuel money for a few drinks instead!
Todays little adventure was to a little semi-hidden place called Chuckle Park . If your not paying attention you could easily go past it (like most places here) and whilst your in the little alleyway turned bar, you wouldn't even think your in the heart of the Big Smoke and it's pleasantly quite too. An old caravan for the main bar/kitchen, rope lanterns, astro-turf, a little scattered foliage and other fascinations equals a great watering hole.
